Marine ID courseOver the summer months the Lancashire Area Group of the Marine Conservation Society will present a series of short talks introducing some of the wide range of varied and colourful plants and animals that inhabit our shallow coastal waters. Presentations will concentrate on the basic biology of the more common groups including sea weeds, crabs, lobsters, mussels, anemones, fish and starfish etc. and will look at how to identify the different species. The talks will be aimed at non divers as well as divers, indeed anyone with an interest in our marine environment will be very welcome, no previous experience or knowledge is required. The meetings will be held at the Capernwray Dive Centre near Carnforth on the second Wednesday of the month, commencing at 7.30 pm. Admission per. session is just £1.00.
